Title Fight // Shed |
So I got this a hot minute ago at the Record Exchange in Brisbane Australia. Cool little record store. Check it out if you’re around there. They have hella deals for like buy six CDs get six free. They enable my addiction of just buying albums I know are from cool bands; albums that I still never listen to. But here I am now, listening to this. Go me. Immediate reaction to this album was wow this is like Hot Water Music but without Trusty Chords. The first half was cool. Like it’s pleasant enough punk to listen to, however, tracks seven through thirteen are what really sell me. Safe in Your Skin is nice and soft and flows beautifully into Where Am I, the best song-song on the album. Little bit slower paced but the chorus and melodies all over it are sublime. Your Screen Door has a Tiny Moving Parts guitar intro that’s dope af, and it explodes into the best fast track on the album. If you’re into gruffer Hot Water Music stuff check this out and you’ll enjoy the whole thing but if you like your Hot Water Music with a little more depth you'll REALLY dig this record. I think it’s pretty great!
