The Bled // Found In the Flood |
This is one of the many albums in this… thing (?) that I purchased at Lifeline Bookfest for the low low price of either $2.50 or $1.00. Not sure if this was a day one or final day purchase. But what I am sure of is that it's a post-hardcore album with a little Every Time I Die, a little Glassjaw, a little Underoath, some very occasional Envy On the Coast, and that’s about it really. I think it’s alright. It goes hard at points (She Calls Home, Millionaires, I Don’t Keep With Liars Anymore) and also has some genuinely catchy choruses (My Assassin, The Last American Cowboy). It’s not too standout in my opinion but it does scratch an itch. Did I also listen to the entirety of I Don’t Keep With Liars… expecting silence and a secret track? Yes. Yes I did. But all jokes aside, I don't think this is anything groundbreaking, but definitely not terrible. I have no real knowledge of how the album was received when it came out, but if you like any of the bands I mentioned earlier, give this a shot.
